GCC is a collaboration of basic and translational scientists, researchers, clinicians and students in the quantitative biomedical sciences who participate in joint training and research programs, utilize shared equipment and core facilities, and exchange scientific knowledge. It is well-known for breaking down barriers and building bridges across departments and institutions, increasing cooperation and collaborations, and training young scientists for future careers in the biomedical sciences. GCC programs and core facilities are currently supported by NIH, NSF, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), the John S. Dunn Foundation, and its member institutions.
